OpenIce Pro Privacy Notice

About this notice

OpenIce Pro is operated by ReactForge Inc. This notice covers the simple play revision, including solo play and private multiplayer rooms. You do not need to register or provide an email address or password to use this revision. We use limited information to run private multiplayer; we do not claim that the service collects no information.

Information used during play

For private multiplayer, you choose a nickname. The service temporarily processes that nickname, your room membership, team selection, waiting or admission status, gameplay state and control inputs. The host can see waiting players’ nicknames and decide whether to admit them. Admitted players can see other participants’ nicknames and team selections. Please use a nickname rather than your real name, email address, phone number or other identifying information.

Private rooms and invitations

Rooms use a private link, a six-digit PIN and host approval. The PIN is displayed to the host and is embedded in shared invitation links to fill it in for your friend. The PIN is placed after the # in the link, so it is not included in the initial website request; it is sent to the room service when your friend asks to join. You can share invitations using an app of your choice. OpenIce does not access your address book or send these messages for you. The receiving app applies its own privacy practices. Private links and PINs can be forwarded by recipients, so share them only with people you intend to invite. This revision has no public matchmaking, contact directory or direct messaging.

Storage on your device

If you choose Remember this nickname, your browser or app stores the nickname locally on that device. It is still sent to the room service when you create or join a room. A temporary room access token is stored in session storage to support reconnecting. Your best solo scoring rallies are saved on this device, without a player account or cloud sync. You can clear them using Scores → Clear my scores. Gameplay preferences and replay data may also be held locally. If you enable Remember my game settings, your lineup and difficulty preferences are stored on that device until you turn the option off or clear local data. Challenge suggestions compare recent rally results in memory during the current session; those assessments are not sent to a server or saved as a player profile. Clear the app’s stored data or browser site data to remove locally stored information. Remembering a nickname does not create an account or reserve that name on another device.

Temporary server data

Guest room data is held in server memory, rather than saved as a player profile or score history in the account database. The room’s top five scoring rallies are visible only to admitted room members and are removed with the room. Rooms expire after one hour, or after two minutes without host activity, and the host can close a room earlier. Waiting requests expire after five minutes. Cleanup runs periodically and during room requests. Server restarts also clear these rooms. Brief security limits use connection-related identifiers to reduce repeated room creation and PIN attempts. These room limits do not describe hosting-provider log retention.

Connections and service providers

Our hosting provider, Railway, processes network requests needed to deliver the game. These requests expose technical information such as IP addresses, request times and device or browser information. Infrastructure, security or error logs may retain technical information separately from the temporary rooms. Provider log retention and processing locations have not yet been verified for this revision; we cannot promise that all technical records disappear when a room closes. This revision does not add advertising, behavioural tracking or third-party analytics to the game. Existing account infrastructure is separate from guest play; hiding account features does not erase previously collected account records.

Children and young players

No-registration play, private invitations and the absence of chat reduce the information requested and opportunities for contact. They do not, by themselves, exempt a service from children’s privacy laws. Parents and guardians should supervise invitations and help children choose non-identifying nicknames. Host approval is a room-admission feature; it is not verified parental consent. This notice is not a claim that worldwide legal requirements for children have been satisfied. Before specifically offering the service to children where consent is required, the operator must assess the intended audience, applicable law and any required parental-consent process.

Your choices and questions

You can play solo without joining a multiplayer room, choose not to remember your nickname, leave a room, or close a room if you are the host. Other participants may retain information they have already seen, including through screenshots. For privacy questions or requests concerning information associated with you, contact support@reactforge.com. Do not send a room access token, PIN, password or identity document in your initial message. We may need enough information to understand and respond to your request.

Updates

We will update this notice if the service introduces accounts, saved profiles, chat, analytics or other material changes in information handling. Notice date 26 October 2026.
